Community Involvement

We want everyone to Get On The Same Page, so we encourage participants across the city to read together and find common ground through literature and the love of reading.

• Book Club Resources:  Each September, we provide book club resources for community members who would like to get more involved and start book clubs in their own neighborhoods.

• Volunteers: Community leaders, coaches and volunteers are encouraged to lead book clubs with children in their neighborhoods. We want to stress to kids that reading doesn’t have to happen only at school.
   
• Community Partners: It takes a village to run this program. On The Same Page partners with Little Shop of Stories, the AJC Decatur Book Festival, the Decatur Rotary Club, and Decatur CoWorks. We also collaborate with organizations such as the Decatur Education Foundation, The Birthday Party Project, Georgia Center for the Book, and Georgia Breathes to create custom events and experiences to coincide with this year’s selected book.
